We are a nationwide engineering firm with over 135 employees at multiple locations. Our focus areas are infrastructure, water, transportation, and energy and telecommunications supply. From planning to implementation, we accompany demanding projects. At the Esslingen location, central organizational functions are consolidated. In this role, you support management and the teams in daily operations and coordinate processes across locations.

Your tasks
- Processing and posting of day-to-day business transactions
- Maintaining the subsidiary’s accounting records
- Preparing the advance VAT return
- Monitoring and controlling cash flows and the accounts receivable collection process
- Assisting with provisions, accruals, and closing entries
- Maintaining and reconciling fixed asset accounting
- Preparing reports to serve as a basis for management decisions
- Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Collaborating on the optimization of financial processes
- Serving as the point of contact for tax advisors, government agencies, customers, and suppliers
Your profile
- Completed business training, ideally as a tax clerk, financial accountant, or general accountant, or a comparable qualification with a focus on accounting, finance, or taxes
- Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting
- Experience in preparing or compiling monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Knowledge of DATEV or a comparable accounting system is a plus
- Ability to work independently, in a structured and reliable manner
- Strong communication skills, openness, and team spirit
