Development of the Vöhringen Environmental and Energy Park
The municipalities of Sulz am Neckar and Vöhringen have decided to designate an inter-municipal industrial area. A section (Section B) was planned and technically implemented by Ingenieurbüro Fritz Spieth.
Section B should have the character of a campus, therefore the central access road was planned in such a way that open spaces are created and interaction between users can be achieved.
Motor vehicle traffic, especially heavy goods vehicle traffic, should be kept out of the central campus via a bypass road (approx. 8,000 m2). The quality of the bypass road was designed for a correspondingly high volume of heavy goods vehicle traffic.
The site is several meters lower than the other sections of the business park. It was therefore filled with qualified soil material of approximately 180,000 m3 before development in order to obtain a multifunctional building ground for later building construction. The soil material used comes from regional construction projects, which was processed (broken) at the installation site and installed as a substructure for the traffic facilities and the later commercial buildings.
In addition to the commercial areas, large areas in the south and on the eastern and western edges are designated as compensation and retention areas.
