Expansion of IFAT PG 300 Production Plant - Infineon, Villach

At the Villach location in Austria, Infineon Technologies AG operates a global competence center for power electronics and new semiconductor materials. As part of a site expansion, Infineon invested 1.6 billion euros in a new state-of-the-art cleanroom factory utilizing 300-millimeter technology. A cleanroom factory with support and technical buildings for approximately 400 highly qualified workplaces was built on around 60,000 square meters. Construction began in the first half of 2019, and production started at the beginning of 2021. Spieth Ingenieure was commissioned by Exyte Central Europe GmbH for the infrastructure planning.
