New transformer station in Kehl-Kork
SPIE is constructing the turnkey Kork substation in the Kehl area of Baden-Württemberg on behalf of the transmission system operator TransnetBW. The new 380/110kV substation in Kork will stabilise the grid supply in the municipality of Kehl and make it future-proof. The project is being realised on an undeveloped area (greenfield site).
The design planning was prepared by TransnetBW and approved in advance. On this basis, engineering firm Fritz Spieth took over the implementation planning and preparation of the tender documents.
Part of the planning services involved checking the terrain modelling and adapting it to the surface drainage requirements. The traffic facilities including transformer transport with a special vehicle for the transformer station also had to be planned.
