Project Progress

Construction work on the new hydrogen pipeline in the H2@Hydro project between Albbruck and Dogern is progressing. The badenova infrastructure subsidiary badenovaNETZE has successfully completed the first construction section of the approximately 9-kilometre-long pipeline in the Albbruck district.

The route we have planned will transport around 8,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year in future. Various options were analysed and technical challenges taken into account as early as the design planning stage, such as laying the pipeline along the banks of the Rhine and crossing roads, railway lines and bodies of water.

An important milestone has been reached with the successful completion of the first construction phase. The continuation of the route in the direction of Dogern will take place in the next stages.
