RS4 Ebersbach-Stuttgart cycle path

Section of the RS4 cycle path between Ebersbach and Reichenbach is open to traffic

Starting today, ambitious cyclists in the Filstal valley can ride the first section of the RS4 high-speed cycle route from Ebersbach to Reichenbach. The demonstration route from Ebersbach to Reichenbach is part of the RS4 Ebersbach - Stuttgart cycle path, which is being implemented as one of three pilot projects of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The 1.3 kilometre long cycle path section, which runs parallel to the L1192, was planned and implemented by engineering firm Fritz Spieth as a bi-directional cycle path with a lane width of 4.00 metres.

Transport Minister Winfried Hermann MdL opened the 1.3-kilometre demonstration section to traffic on 27 September 2021 together with District President Wolfgang Reimer, District Administrators Edgar Wolff (Göppingen) and Heinz Eininger (Esslingen), Mayors Eberhard Keller (Ebersbach) and Bernhard Richter (Reichenbach) as well as the Head of the Road Traffic and Infrastructure Department of the Ministry of Transport, Mr Andreas Hollatz.
